267 plaques in database

Congregation Beth Itzchok (Bais Yitzchok) was formed in 1917 in Albany Park. It leased a hall above a store on Kimball and Lawrence Avenues. In 1919, it purchased a site at 4645 N. Drake Ave., and in 1926 the congregation purchased a burial site in Waldheim (Gate 204).

In early 1940, the congregation purchased a church across the street from the original synagogue (at the southwest corner of Drake and Lawrence). In 1969, the group acquired a new site on Whipple in west Rogers Park.
