Members only online discussion prior to JGSI's Feb. 22, 2026, lecture:
Discussion topic: "Using JGSI's Subject Database to Identify Our Ancestor's Organization"
If your research leads you to the name of an organization that you want to learn more about, JGSI's Subject Database may have the answer. These organization names may appear on death certificates, cemetery sections, or obits. Your ancestors may have belonged to a shul that you can't quite remember. For example, was it Anshe something .... ?
Mike Karsen will provide a short tour through our website to show where to find some answers.
If you have a specific mystery you are looking for, please email Mike ahead of time at Karsen.Mike@gmail.com.
Mike Karsen is past president of JGSI and is the architect of JGSI’s “Names” and “Subjects” Databases. He currently serves as JGSI Executive Vice President.
